The Rev. Kenneth C. Jenks was born October 13, 1937 in Kalamazoo, Michigan. He is the son of Mr. & Mrs. K. T. Jenks now living at Michigan City, Indiana. At the age of 2, he moved to Grand Rapids, Michigan. There he later attended Immanuel Lutheran School for eight years. After graduating from Central High School, he attended Concordia Jr. College, Ft. Wayne, Indiana and Concordia Sr. College there, graduating with a B.A. degree. He was graduated from Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, Missouri with a B.D. degree in 1963. Pastor Jenks was Ordained on June 9, 1963 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Grand Rapids and Installed as Shepherd of St. John's Lutheran Churches, McClusky-Arena-and Kongsberg, North Dakota on June 30, 1963. While vicaring at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Marshfield, Wisconsin (August 1960 to August 1962) he met Judith A. nee Laitinen, who was teaching there. They were married on February 11, 1961, and have three boys: Jon, 4; Todd, 2; and Timothy, 1. Mrs. Jenks' mother resides in Milwaukee,Wisconsin.
